TWO FLAGS FOR CANFORD
Prophetic idea released through Holy Spirit at the end of our day of Prayer and Vision.
At the end of the day, in the time of thanksgiving for all that the Lord had revealed to us, Chris proclaimed that:
“The Sun (Son)? Is Rising Over Canford”
On the way home Holy Spirit revealed to me that He wanted a flag of three colours that would be called “The Son is Rising Over Canford”. The three colours were to represent the three streams we prayed about during the day.
1. Worship Colour Orange
2. Discipleship Colour Turquoise
3. Mission Colour Green
A flag is an instrument proclaiming:
KING JESUS IS LORD!
It is used in praise and worship and also in warfare because there are certain scriptures and prophetic signs attached to
them as revealed by the Holy Spirit. I only make flags/banners under the leading and guidance of the Holy Spirit because of themselves they are only a piece of cloth and a stick. However, when the inspiration of God’s Holy Spirit fills and uses them they are powerful in the spiritual realm for releasing and loosing, for breaking through and breaking down enemy strongholds. Most of all they enhance worship, intercession and warfare as we are released to sing, dance, and move to bring praise, glory and honour to THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY.
When I came to make my flag, I found I had just enough fabric to make the TWO that I now understood Holy Spirit was wanting to be used in the Parish Church as a proclamation and reminder to His people that “The Son” is indeed “Rising Over Canford”.
So what special significance do these two flags have for us as a congregation? Colour is one of the many languages of the Most High God so our three colours are important:
ORANGE: This means Praise and Worship but so much more! It is associated with the Apostolic, Perseverance, Deliverance and Forceful Power. It is a mixture of Red and Yellow and all three are fire colours and ORANGE points to a strong anointing as in the Fire of God and the Fire of The Holy Spirit. A Scripture reference here would be the story of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego in Daniel 3 where all the above things are involved in the wonderful deliverance of those three faithful Hebrews.
RED of course represents the Blood of Jesus, Salvation, Obedience and Sacrifice and all these things lead us into PRAISE AND WORSHIP. See as examples Lk 19:9,10; Phil 2:8-11; 1Jn 1:7; Rev 1:5.
YELLOW means Light, Joy, Honour and Celebration. Who would not want to dance and sing as God’s Glory and Presence is revealed among us? Ps 150; Jn 8;12; Jn 15;11.
The central colour of our flags is Turquoise to symbolize Discipleship. When I first started making flags to use in worship I was given a list of colours and meanings by two ladies who had been operating in this ministry for some time. However, Turquoise did not feature in this list and it was after I had felt constrained by Holy Spirit to make a flag of this colour that I was asked by an interested observer what the colour meant. It was agreed between us that we would separately enquire of the Lord and then compare answers. Several days later it was wonderful to find we had both received the same answer.
TURQUOISE signifies LOVE, PEACE, and UNITY in the Body of Messiah! Subsequently, I learnt that this colour also denotes: The Bride of Christ, Jesus’ Love for His Bride, Open Heaven, Life Giving Flow of Holy Spirit, and The River of God. Ps 14:2; Isa 62:5; Lk 11:13; Jn 3:29; Acts 1:8; Rev 22:17.
When these flags are raised in worship during our services I believe the Lord will release all we need for us as a congregation to be a body of believers who are disciples well able to disciple others as the Lord calls them into our fellowship.
GREEN representing Mission is the last colour I was directed to use in these special “Canford” flags. On our day of Prayer and Vision we quickly realised that the three streams we were seeking direction for were all interlocked – they could not be isolated one from the other. GREEN symbolizes: Spiritual and Earthly Prosperity, New Life, Growth, Fruitfulness, Maturity and Overcoming. Green is the colour that brings in the Glory of God and the Glory of Saints. It is also the colour of Healing and Mercy. This colour is therefore very suitable to represent our Mission stream. Ps 23:2-3; Ps 52:8-9; Ps 92:12-15; Jer 17:7-8; 1Pet 1:24; Rev 4:3.
I know that a number of people have asked why flags are being used in the church, so I hope this explanation of why these two new flags are appearing in our worship will go some way to answering the questions that have been raised. If we remember that “It is all about Him and what He wants” I am sure that even more blessing will be released upon the Parish of Canford.
