Sunbeams is our new monthly weekday service, suitable for babies to pre-schoolers and their parents. We start with action songs, bible story and prayers, followed by a craft activity for the children. We hope to increase the regularity over the next few months.
Live 24/7has around 14 children on the register, all of whom are regular attendees. We usually enjoy some worship time together, then either stay together for all-age teaching, or split into 3 groups for more age related teaching and activities. All the children enjoy participating in the new ‘Family Celebration’ services, with the older ones particularly confident with reading or drama
Offspringis really taking off – we now have around 50 children on the register, ranging from newborn to 4 years old. We usually have around 45 attendees plus their carers at each session. Toys are available for all ages, with a story time each week too.
Sunbeams is our newest venture which runs on the first Friday morning of the month at 10.30 am and is held in the Canford Magna Centre. This is a short service (15-20 minutes) especially for pre-schoolers, babies and their parents. We start with a prayer, followed by a song (with actions!) and a short Bible story with lots of pictures and/or puppets. Afterwards there is a craft activity for the children and tea or coffee is served for mums and dads. If you would like further details, please contact Sharon at cmcw@canfordparish.org
Live 24/7During the 10.30 Sunday morning service, we run activities for children up to age 13+.
We aim to come alongside the children, to teach them how to live a God centred life, and encourage them to develop a personal relationship with Jesus.
For children aged 3 – 13, we move to the Canford Magna Centre during the second hymn, where we continue with worship time together, followed by an introductory activity. We then either continue as an all-age group for our Bible teaching, or split into 3 groups for more age related activities. On the second Sunday in the month we rejoin our church family to take communion or receive a blessing together.
Four times a year we are invited to lead the ‘Family Celebration’ service, and all our children enjoy participating, whether through reading, drama or behind the scenes work.
For children up to three years old, a crèche area with toys is available in the South Chapel of the church.
We also organise social activities for all the family, including a beach day in July and a cinema visit in the winter.

Offspring We run a parent and toddler group on a Tuesday morning, in the Canford Magna Centre. The session runs between 10 and 12 during school term time. We aim to provide a welcoming, friendly and safe environment for both you and your child to play and meet new friends. Our group of volunteers are here to provide you with tea, coffee and homemade cake. There are also biscuits, squash and milk available for the children. We are fortunate to have a wide variety of toys to suit all children from birth to four, including a designated ‘baby area’, play kitchen, ride on toys, soft play blocks or ball pool and more, plus the usual puzzles and books. On sunny days the Rector kindly allows us to take over his garden, to enable your little ones to run off more steam! At Christmas we have a party, to which Father Christmas is invited, plus a ‘Teddy Bears Picnic’ at the end of the summer term. If you would like further details, please drop in on a Tuesday morning, or contact Sharon at cmcw@canfordparish.org
