This Focus Group is concerned with the leadership of the church and consists of the Parish Church Staff.

The Rector provides leadership to both the Parish Church, and the Parish as a whole as Team Rector.  The Parish includes the areas served by the Lantern (Merley) and St Barnabas (Bearwood). The Rector also serves as Rural Dean of Wimborne.

The leadership team is the Rector and the Parish Church Staff who comprise the ordained and lay ministers, the Parish Church Warden, and the Children’s & Family Co-ordinator, and are all appointed by the bishop or the PCC.

The Parish Church Staff pray and discuss strategy with the PCC Subcommittee.  This group meet regularly before the PCC to discuss the business of the church, decide on delegated matters, and bring proposals and resolutions to the PCC for decision in the context of a united Team Ministry.

In addition, the Ministry Focus Group dictate policy on areas such as Baptism, Confirmation, Vocations, Deliverance Ministry and relations with the Deanery, Diocese and wider Anglican Communion.
