The early church attracted approval from the community for the way it treated its members. We believe that the way we care for each other is both a measure of God’s grace through us and an engine of evangelism.
Because a large church membership can make it hard for us to be effective at the personal level, we make our Home Groups the focus of our primary pastoral care and related prayer ministry. Every member of the church is encouraged to join a home group. If you wish to join please approach the Rector to agree one which will suit you and to meet the group leader.
Home group leaders ensure that there is opportunity for both open sharing and private support of the members. The mutual prayer support alone is worth the membership!
There are specific areas where our Lay Pastoral Assistants work with the clergy to deliver care and instruction, especially for those needing home visits, suffering bereavement or preparing children for baptism. More details are on the LPA page.
If you have a particular need for individual advice or prayer do contact the clergy.
